Microsoft has designed Bing for new user experience so that users can make better decisions. This new decision tool focus on four key areas: making a purchase decision, planning a trip, researching a health condition or finding a local business. The main motive behind is to enhance the search results. Microsoft Decision Engine, Bing.com will be deployed completely on 3rd June 2009.

Why Bing, a decision engine was needed? Bing creation was grounded up in deep understand of how people want to use web. Bing was developed as a tool to help people more easily navigate through the information overload that has come to characterize many of today’s search experiences. Online study showed that web users search for certain service, information or product online but nearly 30% of searches are aborted because of unsatisfactory results and many searches need further refinement and further query on the search result pages.

Internet search accounts for nearly 70% complex decisions on the web. Microsoft identified three design goals to guide the development of Bing: deliver great results; deliver a more organized experience; and simplify tasks and provide insight, leading to faster, more confident decisions. Bing will help people find information quickly and make decisions.
