Google PR Page Rank Update December 2008

Google Page Rank (PR) update Q4 for year 2008 is effective today on 31st December 2008. Many websites, blogs have gained PR or many websites PR has decreased or dropped out at the same some websites page rank remain altered. Google page rank or Google toolbar page rank even are not same are often used interchangeably as a website authority measuring parameter. SEO experts say that toolbar page rank are outdated and play very confusing role for SEO experts.

Google Toolbar Page Rank is updated every trimester but with time Google Toolbar Page Rank has lost its importance. Even though importance of Google Pagerank is reduced over period of time, still many webmaster aims to get higher Pagerank while many webmasters do not pay attention to page rank as website ranking factor.

Today morning I checked pagerank of my client's website and few of my blogs, I found PR increased from N/A to PR2 for the website, it remained same for our company website open-source-development.com at the same it increased from N/A to 3 PR for http://erase-hard-drive.blogspot.com/. It seems expected page rank update is completed on 31st December 2008, as in the month of December'08 websites were experiencing Google Dance. Last PR update took place in September'08. Still I have not noticed any specific or tough ground on which this PR update took.

It is my personal experience that Google updates its database on various grounds at different data centers before Page rank is completed and during Google dance website owners should take care that they should not link to other websites. Check throughly that no 404 link not found exist, anchor text of inbound links is of great importance, and number of outbound links should be very less.
