‘Favicon’ is a shortcut for favorite icon is an icon associated with particular website. It is created by web designers and it is displayed only when a browser supports it. In short a favicon, these days many online tools for creating a favicon is available. Favicon is .ico file and is uploaded in the root of web server.
The basic difference that I see in this icon is that it has different colors but what remains is ‘g’ for Google in lower case as it was in old Google favicon. Colors are noticacle but I am not sure how many of us are going to embarce this. Google welcomed lots of suggestion from visitors and received numbers of suggestions , the idea was to scale better this search engine favicon for different interfaces.
