In Mozilla Browser Favicon Reveals "This web site does not supply identity information"

I saw last month unfamiliar favicon for one of my website. Strange!! what is this, but as was completely occupied did not want to troubleshoot at that moment.

I was troubled today seeing the favicon, it stroked.

Hey!! need not worry, it comes with Firefox (3.0.10).

How to supply or verify my identity information????

When clicking on the favicon it gives "this web site does not supply identity information". Again, clicking on the message reveals little more information:

Security remains unquestionable when transfer over internet of most private and sensitive date comes into play. On the way data being transferred travels different hardware and if any organization comes to change DNS request can completely control the data (get full control over what server you will visit next). Have you ever thought of why malicious elements, third party insert script in your website source code and virus are executed on your website and how badware is reported. Whenever I click on my website favicon it says "This website does not supply identity information. Your connection is not encrypted". Is identity information necessary and if yes how can I get it? Even for website that has a SSL certificate from Verisign, but firefox3 mentions that site does not supply identity information. This error usually occurs because the website content contains both secure and insecure content (SSL cert is less secure then a EV SSL cert).
For example the page code might include an image or code that pulls from a non-secure URL. To resolve this issue make sure that the page code does not pull data directly from a non-secure URL. This will then highlight elements on your page being loaded from a non-secure URL.
To identify non-secure elements view the source code of the page and search for the text src="http://

Add another level of security by encrypting data over internet by trusted certification providers to avoid random phishing server only by verifying the identity of the information. Verify your identity by trusted source, just by encrypt your message. Trusted sources like digisign, digicert, verisign, thawte generate public and private key for encrypting your data over web.

You can You can only do that by disabling all the tooltips, both on the user interface and on websites by setting the pref browser.chrome.toolbar_tips to false on the about:config page.

You can disable all toolbar tips, including this one, follow these steps:

1. Type "about:config" in the address bar and press Enter.
2. Locate and double-click the entry for browser.chrome.toolbar_tips
3. Double-click on it to set it to false.

Security concern for any web user is not for all the websites you browse but for all the online transaction you carry. Everyone wants to make sure that the third party is trustable before you transfer any sensitive data over internet. Firefox 3 offers "Site Identity" feature that allows you to see whether the Web site has supplied information about their identity, who has verified that information, and whether they protect your information from interceptors.

Using the Site Identity Button, you can find out if the website you are viewing is encrypted, if it is verified, who owns the website, and who verified it. This should help you keep away malicious websites that are trying to get your website information life ftp details.

The Site Identity Button is in the Location bar to the left of the web address. This button gives site identity information with its "Passport Officer" icon (You can access the website’s identity for any Website by clicking the site’s icon on the left edge of the location bar).

Site Identity Levels

There are 4 types of Site Identity Levels. Each level provides different identity information. The higher level gives better security. The site identity level listed from highest to lowest in sequence.

1. Green Color Tag - The site with green color “Passport Officer” icon provides information that the website owner information is fully verified and also protects your personal information.

2. Blue Color Tag - The sites shown with blue color provides basic identity information and protects your personal information.

3. Yellow Color Tag - The yellow color tag website provides self signed security certificate and you trust owner at your own risk.

4. Gray Color Tag - Grey color tag site doesn’t provide any identity information.
